I spent several months shopping for a 4-port USB KVM Switch before I settled on the Belkin. Realizing that nothing is perfect, I hoped for something useful. I use four computers (2 Dell, 1 Mac and 1 Home). I use two sets of kb (keyboard) and mice (one set for me, one for my significant other). The Mac is still not fully functional for me, but it may not like my Microsoft Natural Pro kb. The kb multimedia buttons didn't work when the kb was connected to the normal kb port, but thanks to the (limited) 2 USB hub ports, the extra buttons now work fine. I don't use sound anymore (the few computers I have aren't designed for sound) but when I used it it seemed fine (listening to MP3s or even CDs through computer speakers doesn't require quality 5.1 sound) . I'd love to be able to use advanced KB and mouse options without using the built in USB hub, but at least that's an option. I had/am having issues with missing firmware updates as there weren't any yet. Belkin must have something built in to recognize different KB/Mouse settings for each port if the company intends to install standard drivers for all computers for these devices. How about just setting something in the software settings that Belkin can easily build into the KVM. However, the best part of my offer was taking advantage of Belkin's 50% off offer (directly through Belkin).
