Review on Deal4Go QCNFA435 433Mbps WiFi Adapter for Dell DW1810 Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 Windows by Jamal Webb

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect.! VAST improvement over the standard Wi-Fi card in the Dell 3455 AIO.

After completing the repair of a Dell 24-3455 all-in-one for a family member and preparing to call them to arrange the return, I decided to turn off the Wi-Fi speed test before i did as i know what it is how to connect to their network. I was very disappointed to find that the included DW1707 standard 802.11n adapter could barely handle 40Mbps on my 400+Mbps network. Typically, a good WiFi card delivers between 200 and 300 Mbps on my network, depending on traffic, weather, and interference on any given day. So 40 Mbit/s just isn't good enough. After some searching, I found this card, which delivered the higher speeds allowed by the 802.11ac protocol and allowed the WiFi to connect to the 5.0GHz channel. After a quick and easy install, I found that the card was recognized immediately upon boot and Win10 automatically installed the new driver. Before connecting to the network, I went into the network adapter's settings and set it to first look for 5.0 GHz channels to connect to. I then clicked the icon in the system tray, connected to my network, and ran a speed test. I was quite pleased to find that the speed was over 200Mbps from the very first test, like most of the servers I've used. tested, the best reached 253Mbps. Then, out of curiosity, I tested one of my personal devices that hits just over 300Mbps from time to time to compare and found that they had very similar numbers, indicating that today's wireless network speed is exactly the same is. very well and can compete with the more expensive and higher quality AC cards I have on my other computers and the difference in performance in higher transfer rates and faster page loads making the browser slightly faster was worth it. I'm sure they will enjoy the improved performance of their machine when they get it back. ;-). And I give this internal WLAN/Bluetooth adapter the seal of approval "highly recommended".

Pros
  • finally bought
Cons
