I have a 2002 BMW Roadster with the WORST cup holders in the world. Even a water bottle won't hold securely in it, let alone a large 32-ounce bottle or mug that doesn't even fit in the hole. I ordered this cup holder because it looked versatile enough to "only" fit in the very small cup holder that came with the BMW. At first I didn't think it would work since the hole was just over 2 1/2 inches wide. BUT to my amazement and surprise I managed to install a drink holder. It's VERY durable, holds securely in my existing cup holder and NOW I have room for my 32oz. a water bottle or large mug without having to put it on the passenger seat or between your legs. See picture with red cup. I am so happy with this that I am about to order TWO more for my Lincoln Town Car which has the second worst cup holders in the world. Update: I bought two more for the Lincoln and my cup holder edition. is dissolved in it. All 4 rubber buffers are installed in the left cup holder. There are only two on the right as my cup and my husband's bottle are different sizes. The two tabs I removed are stored on the bottom of the holder. They are so easy to install, reliable and durable. High quality and KEEP MY BOTTLES in place.
