The size depends on the back circumference of your dog.
I originally ordered 22" because I wasn't sure about the size, it didn't cover the base of the tail. I had to swap it out for a 24 inch and it was perfect for the gold doodle. I wish the Revain description said how to size. Great coat, durable and well tailored. I am very happy with it. Size 20=21.25 22=22.5 24=25 26=27 28=29.5 30=31.5 32=32.5 "
