Ready to return UPDATE: Problem solved

Finally found a phone number and called. All issues were resolved within 10 minutes. The problem was explained by the fact that for my model, My Drive only provides Wi-Fi to the device, and not just going through the device to update. Original: This is the third Tomtom product we own. This was the most difficult. First, Tomtom My Drive does not recognize the device. I followed the steps in the support section: reinstalled my drive, navigated to the driver file on my Mac, and even tried it on my wife's PC. Bad luck. I bought a UK map for our holiday and I can't download it to my device. My Drive does not recognize the device and My Drive does not even indicate that the item is available for download. I spent hours looking at the support pages but couldn't follow their instructions. On a support page I couldn't even select a model number for information. Very disappointed.
