They appear microscopic when you first take them out of the box. At first they seemed so small that I wanted to send them back. Compared to my kid's tennis shoes, the slippers felt 3/4 smaller! However, my husband convinced me to just try them and they ended up being a good fit. My 3 year old wears a size 8 and I ordered an 8.5.
