The only downside I have for this rashguard is that it's thicker than I would like, but that's not uncommon with rashguards I've bought anywhere. My little guy doesn't seem hot in it and it helps protect his skin from the sand and sun. He refuses to wear hats, but sometimes wears a hood, so I liked that he wore a hood for exactly that purpose. For the record, my son is 17 months old, weighs 23 pounds and wears 18 month old Carter sizes. In my opinion, the 12/18 month rashguard fits perfectly.
