Ideal for amateur level work. The inner edges are very sharp and the outer edges have been beveled correctly. The metal of the vise is very hard to the touch - you can't break the inside edges with a file. Select knitting: the screw does not rotate stably and smoothly. It definitely works fine. The jaws seem to stay flat when you clamp them with something. Tolerance seems good. It looks solid, but not "upscale". In real life it seems to be more than I thought. Fits my CNC 6040 very well. For the price this is a great vise and great value. Really enjoyed using it for a job or two - very comfortable. I would like to compare it to a boltless vise from a similar manufacturer.
