Love these boots. Excellent quality. The zippers and the durability of the boot are impeccable. Very stylish. Love the side zips. The laces can be tied individually, so all you have to do is untie them and tighten them. Your laces stay the way you want them. A problem for ME is that the shaft is too high above my ankle and cuts into my calf. I ride a Honda CBR 250R sport bike. The footpegs are at a pretty good angle. They will kill me if the bike is too long. It's very sad to say they have to be returned but that doesn't mean they aren't beautiful shoes. It just doesn't fit when I'm on a motorbike. Sorry I don't want a comfortable ride at all. If you have skinny calves and can make this work, go for it. Just not for me. They had to be perfect as I will be riding a lot so both comfort and durability are key. A special note on HEEL HEIGHT: We had to lower my 250R by 2 inches to give me a firmer flat foot when stopping. This shorter heel height will remove all doubts. This 2 inch heel keeps your foot flatter on the ground than if you were wearing regular motorcycle shoes. You need protection around your knuckles. If you're a little shorter and tiptoe on your bike at traffic lights, consider these boots to help keep you flat-footed and more confident. A sturdy boot with a good sole gives you the security you need with a bit of girly size. I can't comment on the durability of the soles as I haven't had a chance to wear them outside the home. But this shoe would be great on a cruiser bike but would be questionable on a sport bike due to the angle of the foot on the pins. A special note on fit: These boots fit my left foot with bursitis fairly well. I ordered a size 6.5, the length was sufficient. I usually wear 6.5W (C/D) on New Balance and Skechers. So I think this shoe fits. The average width is quite large even for a medium weight sock. To ensure that the heel does not slip, orthopedic insoles are also inserted to ensure a firm fit. If you order these boots and the heel slips a bit, put insoles or heel protectors. The instep is perfect for girls with a high instep. I was able to put them on with no problems. The skin is quite supple and forgiving, but also tough. The final fit in the left toe area got quite snug with orthotics and I felt like my tummy is alive and well. So in general there are two reasons for my return: the collar height is too stiff for competitive cycling and the toe box is too narrow for my left foot's conditions. However, if you have a medium sized foot, go for it. They are amazing.
