I recently purchased a 50ft active cable and to my dismay it doesn't work as well as it normally does on the wall due to the thickness of the cable. and pressing against the wall periodically made the image disappear (and immediately return). Well, with this adapter I can run the cable to the back of the TV and slide the TV to the wall. No more strain on cables and connections, and best of all: no more dropouts because the connector does not come loose! I was afraid it wouldn't work with my active cable due to its length (it's one of the longest non-fiber cables) but it has no problem carrying a 4k 60Hz signal!
