While these don't compare to the more expensive Moleskine or Leuchtturm journals, they are excellent quality considering the price. The paper is thick and smooth and sewn into the hard cover. The felt tips and gel pens I use don't bleed through. The pages are lined, and each page has a place at the top for the date. The inside front cover has a place for your name, phone and email in case the journal is lost. The inside of the back cover has a pocket that's roomy and easy to reach into without risk of tearing. There are also two slots for cards. A ribbon bookmark keeps your place and an elastic band keeps the journal securely closed. A convenient loop on the binding hold a pen. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into the design.
