Review on Noctua NH-D9L: High-Performance CPU Cooler with NF-A9 92mm Fan (Brown) by Robert Berio

Dell XPS 8940 with 65w cpu has no bolts to install this cooler, it has an M3 socket which is flush to the motherboard. To install this cooler on the 8940 motherboard, you need to buy M3x20mm screws or M3x25mm ser screws (to use the nuts provided). With these add-ons, installation is very easy. Some reviewers have reported difficulty installing the cooler onto the brackets. The instructions that came with mine (4/2021) say to remove the fan before installing the cooler. The fan easily snaps back into place after the cooler is installed.
