I found these to compensate when installing R-Tech insulation. I have a shed that I would like to insulate and air condition. R-Tech insulation works best with an air gap between it and the wall. By gluing them to the insulation I get at least a small air gap. The only downside to these pads is that they are very difficult to break. Sometimes I find a good angle and break off pieces, but other times I have to use a saw to separate the pads. However, these things are very versatile.
