Inexpensive and does the job, but streaks/smudges on large prints and gradients when backlit

This product, to put it bluntly, is the answer for many people. Given the cartridge price here is $20 versus $115 for a single official Brother machine, yes. there is no doubt. But there are some things you need to be aware of. In this case, the toner does not form a strong bond with the paper, as is the case with professional toners. This toner is prone to smudges and dust on the paper (especially when printing long runs double-sided), and if you print something to mark with a marker or marker, it will ruin your marker (the toner will dissolve in liquid). in markers and spreads out on the paper and penetrates the tip of the marker, creating an impenetrable toner barrier that marker fluid cannot penetrate). Some important points to keep in mind if you intend to use them. Now do you understand what you're paying for? Of course! While you don't expect to get professional results, save yourself $200 by purchasing this $40 set of 2. But. Just keep in mind that in my opinion it can not be cheaper than it is now. For example, it could be the limit of how cheaply they can sell toner and still make a profit. Just remember you get what you pay for. I also expect the toner to dust up the inside of the printer drum more than you would expect from a professional toner. Of course, the drums aren't very expensive, though. just keep it in mind. I use it, but since I work in a research field that involves a lot of typing and highlighting, I don't think I would buy it again. Who it's for: Those who just want to print occasionally here and there High school and junior high school students Mom and Dad's home office Anything that requires low or uneven print volume Who should avoid: College students (sorry. I know you it doesn't have that much money but this product isn't the place to save the money you have it will ruin your research) ministers and clergy (i know you do a lot of typing and assigning) medics (probably could you can still afford professional toner) small offices (you probably overprint, I was expecting smearing)
