So the collar is super cute, it feels soft and gentle on my cat's long fur. I love how you can resize and zip the size in place but with a zip on and off. However, the bell chimes with a different (higher) pitch than your old collar/bell. It rings much more evenly when moving, even slightly. The sound of the bell upset my poor cat so much that he became scared and cried every time it rang. He didn't seem to mind ringing the bell like a toy if we dangled the collar in front of him, but around the neck where he couldn't see or touch anything it was unacceptable. We tried warming him up with it, but it didn't work. I had to remove the bell from the collar. I can buy a bell more like his old one to replace it. Maybe the kitten would get used to it if it was his first collar, or maybe my cat is just too shy and unusual!
