WARNING! NOT UL CERTIFIED

This beautiful lamp is perfect for an industrial/steampunk space and is reasonably priced but be aware that it poses a fire hazard only through Replacement of cords and cords can be overcome lamp holders. So here is a long and short summary of the problem and the solution: Obviously this lamp is made in China. That means the price is cheap, but it also means it's built to Chinese standards, not American ones. First, the canopy (the small "bowl" attached to the ceiling) is large enough to cover the US. electrical junction boxes with round holes. Many Chinese lamps are not. But the first problem you will encounter is that the metal connecting rod in the canopy can prevent you from positioning the fixture so that the 8 bulbs are pointing in the right direction rather than at an angle. You may be able to solve this by using screws and/or anchors on the ends of the metal strip to mount the strip directly around the circular circle of the electrical junction box. The bigger problem is the wiring. It appears to be 22 or 24 gauge. UL-approved devices must be no smaller than 18 gauge (higher # means smaller wire). Therefore, the only solution is to remove all Chinese thin wires and replace them with 18 gauge wires per US standards and requirements. Unfortunately, due to the design of the sockets, the sockets supplied with this device cannot be easily replaced or cannot be replaced at all. If you search Revain, the Edison sockets, which are the cheapest available, are at least 1.55 inches in diameter (regardless of what misinformation the Revain specs contain, as I found out on the sockets I bought from and then returned bin Revain) and the maximum nozzle diameter that will fit this fixture is less than 1.49 inches. So you need to find replacement sockets on the Revain that are narrow enough in diameter to fit the bracket x 8 sockets for the largest Chinese brackets. I found 2 of these replacement nibs on Revain, 1 plastic and another porcelain. The cost for 8 sockets is between 16 and 20 dollars. So add that to the cost of the fixture and your time and labor to replace the wiring and outlets. narrow tubes. I bought standard 18 gauge wire from an orange hardware store. It slid laboriously over metal pipes with only two bends, but not three bends. I bought an 18 gauge Southwire (much thinner plastic insulator) from Revain. 2 wires just don't go through Chinese thin metal tubes. Dead end. Never use this accessory with the supplied cables and sockets. Due to the thin wires, it is not UL recognized and this device can easily cause a fire. Although you are likely to use LED bulbs, there is a risk of fire if the total power of the LED bulbs exceeds 75W. If you are selling your home or someone in your home is unaware of this constraint, they can also start a fire.
