What a lot of people don't realize is how deep you have to dig to get this kind of sound. The AMT tweeter is very accurate so good recordings will sound AMAZING, but your mate's old vinyl will definitely sound dated. I use Tidal Masters to really get the best out of them and get the best bang for my buck. Because they're so clean, you also need to position them correctly. There are plenty of guides on YouTube for placing your speakers, but once you find the best spot in your room, you'll NEVER want to leave it. Setting up all the inputs for what you're looking for is easy too, but I'd keep the manual in case you forget all the little tricks this thing has. All in all, I highly recommend it for installing on my desk. I felt like I never needed a subwoofer for my room because they were so well rounded. Also, color/design always complement each other when friends come over lol. Grab one on sale (sometimes $600) and you're good to go.
