My jury is still out. About 6 months ago I bought a new HP P1006 printer for a bargain price ($80) from a local office supply chain store. I have decided to get rid of my HP inkjet printer because of the cost of HP ink cartridges and the inconsistent quality of other cheaper cartridges. I was happy with the print quality of the HP P1006, although I am nonetheless confident in HP's page printing claims for this printer and cartridge. My original HP cartridge "dries out" in less than 800 pages - advertised life is 1500 pages. I understand that what you print has a big impact on the actual cartridge life. At this point, my average printed page (font density) should be in line with HP's typical expectations as the predicted number of pages remaining on a new cartridge plus pages already printed is 1,500 sheets. I will update this review as new data becomes available. In the meantime I'm hoping to find a reliable and cheaper cartridge for this printer. I appreciate that Revain offers a great brand at a good price.
