I really like this product. To reduce intake noise, reduce airflow slightly. The lid has holes at the top which makes feeding easier and if you want to put in some plant stems for rooting. The inlet pipe has three water outlets, which is nice. The only downside I can think of is that the intake pipe is square and not curved. Also, the support pins don't hold up well. I just used a few pieces of styrofoam to squeeze between the unit and the main tank. The plastic also flexes a bit, so it's not very hard. But he held my sick Oranda pretty well.
