This worked very well considering I was working with 15 month old triplets and had to redo their handprints multiple times. Don't do what I did, let them dry on wax paper before taking them off. Too bad I didn't cut the wax paper and put it somewhere to dry. I did what they suggested and put them in an open plastic bag, but they didn't fully dry until I took them out. I made them on a Saturday and by Thursday night only the edges were dry; So I took them out of the bag and they dried completely overnight. I wrote their names and dates on the back with permanent marker, then drew their handprints, and when it was dry I covered them in icing. Grandparents loved them! Great gift!
