I have a Mac Pro 4.1 from 2009 and wanted to install an SSD in it. In my case at least, I didn't want to bend the slide tabs on my machine, nor did I want to follow the instructions for spacers on the tab side of the board. The screws in the kit did not screw in smoothly and the screw heads are thicker than the original screws so the tabs in the box need to be bent for this kit to work. My friend got a sled from OWC and had no problems. So I decided to spend a little more and buy a sled from OWC. I spent $10 on a 3x4 piece of aluminum sheet not worth the price.
