The reason I bought them was because they wake up the switch. It's surprisingly hard to find comfort in third-party controllers. I will compare them to the Hori Split Pad Pro as I have them too. At first I thought they felt amazing in my palms compared to Hori. But after playing for a while, I found that the thumbsticks were a bit closer to the edge, resulting in claw grip. So people with small hands will appreciate it more, and people with big hands will like Hori more. The material feels like cheap plastic, so not great. The buttons are square in shape, an odd choice. They have a good tactical click when pressed, but again feel like cheap plastic. Triggers are good. Joysticks are good too, but not great. The only D-Pad worth buying is the 8bitdo sn30 pro if you're into retro gaming. All in all, I probably wouldn't buy them. I'd rather use joycons and a comfortable grip for them. But if you are looking for an alternative to drifting, you should use the Hori Split Pad Pro.
