I read a lot of reviews before ordering this board and thought there were a lot of complaints about it falling apart or breaking. I would not recommend standing on this board and be careful not to leave it out in the open on the beach or it will fall apart. Just like any other board. I just used it all weekend in Florida and it's actually a pretty good board for the money. I'm a female, about 5'8 and 130 pounds. I ordered a 42" board, find it a bit big and I almost prefer my 37" board, but it depends on the waves. I would definitely recommend a rashguard with this board if you really want to ride the waves. This is not a material that can be waxed, so there is a lot of friction between you and the board. My only complaint is that it gets dented by my hands fairly easily. But that's how a lot of boards do it. It also comes with a very good leash.
