This is an excellent computer desk, well worth even the higher price. The elevator is smooth and quiet. Overall I am quite happy with the device. Assembly was difficult as the limited instruction manual was in Chinese. I would give 5 stars if a link to download English instructions was included, or even better if English instructions were included. There are small bumps on the surface, similar to bubbles on the last top coat. The manufacturer could have added a polishing step at the end to smooth the top. UPS got the box off the truck onto the street. The box was beaten and taped several times. I don't blame the manufacturer but I was actually happy with the packaging as the only damage was a slightly dented corner of the desktop.
