The parts are good quality and most of the finishing is great, but one downside was the white insulating material that surrounds all the wires at the base of the socket. The insulator on three of the four assemblies was relocated and the conductors were shorted to base ground. During manufacture, the insulator is attached to the wires by squeezing the insulator with hot pliers so that part of the wire's PVC coating is fused to the insulator. In my case the tick alignment was broken at three nodes. As a maintenance technician, I simply used a jeweler's screwdriver to pry out the melted dots and put my own heat shrink tubing over the wires. Everything works great and I saved over $100 by not buying new complete taillights for my 1995 truck. If I had to do it again I would use liquid PVC (liquid tape) and just pour some inside the insulator to cover the soldered wires. Very good fits and the fitting for the rear light was just right.
