This is yet another quality flameless candle from Luminara. The candle takes two AA batteries to work (and not included in the box -- standard Luminara practice from experience) and works like their other products with the moving flame effect. Of various brands of flameless candles I have, I do think Luminara does the moving effect the best, especially in low to no light settings.The candle is the same all around, so you don't need to worry about the direct it faces or if people can see the back of the candle, which also makes it great for use in the center of a table. Out of the box the candle can be configured to be always on, always off, or on for 5 hours + off for 19 hours. It can be controlled with a Luminara remote and I found it works just the same as my other Luminara candles in that regard.A quality addition to have out at Christmas time along with your other Luminara candles!
