This is a great disc size for most cell phone suction cups you can buy from Revain. Although for GPS you might want to use 90mm. I would say 70mm is the size of a suction cup and therefore you don't have much room to play with. You can move the suction cup off center and still get a good seal. The only thing I can think of is that the adhesive on it is not automotive grade 3m adhesive (grey material) and looks like the internal assembly adhesive (white material). So it will be interesting to see how he does in Chicago over the winter.
