Review on πŸ” Fintie Keyboard Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016 NO S Pen Version) - Slim Lightweight Stand Cover with Detachable Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard by Jessica Washington

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent quality for the price but not without problems

I bought this case/case because to be honest it was the most eye-catching one for the Galaxy Tab A 10.1". I had similar accessories for other tablets and this keyboard has some general issues. The case itself is perfect. No complaints at all. This review is mainly for the keyboard. Pros: * The case is leather and looks good quality. Fits Tab A in perfectly All aspects.* Keyboard has good battery life. The on/off button certainly helps, but magnetically controlled switching would be better.*Keys have good travel and feel to type on.The layout is good except for the left ctrl button Leftmost button on bottom row.* Quick pairing/reconnection with tablet* Price: Nothing with the features of this combo comes close to matching the price on. Cons: * Detachable keyboard is a pain. Go ahead and start typing. To do this, I first need to position the keyboard, which depends on the angle I need to align the screen. The keyboard is light enough and the magnets are strong enough that I doubt it will ever fly out of its case while being carried around. But if you drop it, the keyboard will definitely go its own way. Some people prefer a detachable keyboard, so it's kind of a personal preference*. Keyboard "moody". I have another similar keyboard/case that is also having this issue. The keyboard becomes slow and often skips keystrokes or types them twice. I didn't understand why it starts or why it stops. It's just really annoying. My Logitech keyboard never does.* No backlight. For me it's not that important, but maybe for someone. Its presence would reduce battery life.* Plastic on glass. The keyboard is recessed, and when folded, the tablet's glass screen rests and rubs against the ledges. This shouldn't be a problem as glass is much harder than plastic, but it can scratch the screen over time. My Logitech keyboard has rubber grips to prevent damage. Putting felt stickers on the corners can be a wise decision.

Pros
  • understandable even to the old
Cons
  • Almost everything there
