These are designed so that you can plug two of them into one wall socket. That's a cool feature. However, I didn't think about that when I bought it. I'm planning to use them on a power distributor to turn off power to my laptop because I'm tired of constantly unplugging and plugging it in. Where I got it wrong is that the power strip (I have two different ones) is positioned 90 degrees different than the outlet. This means you can only plug it onto an extension cord at one end, otherwise you'll lose a lot of outlets because it takes up space in that direction. These cuts appear to be of good quality. I don't run a lot of load through them, so I don't expect burning to be an issue.
