I have searched and searched for the best pile blanket I could find for my son when he started kindergarten. And I swear it's for the best. If you can take a sleeping pad with you once a week and leave it at school all week and then bring it home to be washed on Friday, that's perfect. At our school they have to bring their things home every day (I think it's because of Covid) and they never fit back in his backpack at the end of the day and they are too big and a nuisance to bring home every day.
