I bought this tool because I was replacing the clutch on my car which included replacing the pilot bearing. Fingers are not sharp enough or long enough to grab and pull out the bearing. However, my friend had one of the latches that had a clearer finger to grab it and didn't pull it out all the way. So I had to take a sharp chisel and remove the bearing, after which I was able to use this tool to remove the cage that is part of this ejector bearing assembly. I wanted to return it but after clicking on one of them it didn't get any better, I decided against it, instead I changed the fingers and filed them with a sharper angle, so I'll see how it works next time.
