My dog made his dog door out of mesh for my sliding glass door. I saw this at a friend's house. It worked well and her dog got in and out easily. I wanted to make a gap in the middle of the hole, so I modified the setup by inserting the board into the sliding screen's guides. It's about an inch longer. So when my dog comes in I sometimes have to adjust the bottom magnet. Since I open it more than 18 inches I have no problem with the need to adjust the bottom magnet. My dog can go in and out at will when I open the glass slider. I get security because when I leave, the glass door locks are win/win. I've had this for a month. The temperatures are hot and the adhesive holds up well. REALLY HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT!
