Completely remodeled my kitchen for $20

I really like this vinyl paper. I bought two rolls to transform the countertop in our apartment. We had this extremely ugly mustard yellow counter that went with the white cabinets and dark wood in the kitchen. I hated it, it was disgusting. I was wanting to redo the countertops when I was looking at the apartment so as soon as we moved in I found a set of vinyl wrap. I was very surprised by the quality and the ease of installation. I'm a very creative person with a very cozy side and have installed many household/decorative items. I found it pretty easy except around the sink. It was a little difficult to get the vinyl to not bubble, but with a little patience and finesse it worked out just fine. I used a gift card to smooth it out and a razor blade to trim off the excess. The stitching is almost invisible unless you know where it is and for the price it's amazing. It completely changed the look of our kitchen. BUT she is VERY fragile. I was more careful with it, but it scratches and cuts fairly easily. I used my kitchen scissors to cut the parchment paper and as far as I know there are a few scratches on it. You can't see them from a foot or two, but I know they're there, so they hit my eye like a sore thumb. But since paper is so incredibly cheap, it doesn't really bother me. $20 and I turned my countertops into beautiful marble. The pattern is actually super high definition and there is no pixelation in the print at all. This usually happens with cheap vinyl so I was very surprised to see that this paper doesn't have this problem. It has an ultra-smooth, waterproof surface and makes cleaning the counters SUPER easy. A disinfectant wipe is enough to make everything shine. I am very happy with my decision to use this vinyl paper and if you are looking to give your countertops a makeover look no further. All in all a very nice easy to lay vinyl. Fragile and easily scratched, but if you are careful you don't have to worry about it. Transform your countertops for less than $50 in about half an hour, what more could you want?

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
