Acquired at the conclusion of the month of December. I am unable to award a higher grade, despite the fact that the model may have some redeeming qualities. The appliance was sent in for service for a total of two calls totaling 20 days during its use of less than two months, during which time not all of the device's flaws were resolved. It is very disheartening to see that a brand that is intended to promote Google in the tablet industry had such a poor standard of quality. Various advantages: A screen that is great in every regard, high speed (something that can be said for all contemporary devices running pure Android), modest side frames and thickness, a price-to-function ratio that is more than enough, and a relatively high battery life. Having this drawback: 1) Noises that aren't necessary coming from the power supply. It seems as though something on the inside has been detached and is rolling. During the initial warranty repair, it was changed out. 2) Improper operation of the battery: on the graph, there were immediate jumps in charge from the current level to 100% and back; an instantaneous loss in charge by 30-50% was noted numerous times; at one point, the device hung tightly. In standby mode, there was an elevated and unstable consumption that ranged between 2% and 7% per hour. This was independent of the programs and wireless interfaces that were currently active. In the beginning, they made a mistake with the charger (point 1), and then, during the second warranty repair, they replaced the battery. 3) The touchpad does not function properly. When the device is held in landscape position, the screen on the left can occasionally fail to register clicks or interpret a single click as many touches. It is especially noticeable in the browser, where it typically takes three to four clicks to activate a link and scrolling functions as an increase or decrease. It is not something that occurs frequently, but I do notice it once every couple of days on average. I did not disclose any dependence on any of the factors; nonetheless, in the forums, it is stated that jambs containing a sensor are discovered in many individuals in some manner or another. Two times, the service either did not notice or did not want to notice what had happened. 4) When the top speaker is turned on, there is a high-pitched squeak or whistling that may be heard. It is audible at a distance of 10–12 centimeters when there is no other sound; the volume rises while the device is being charged or when the USB cable is inserted, and it falls off very slightly when the screen is switched off. The service asserts that this is a bug in the underlying firmware, which has been brought to the attention of the manufacturer and will be addressed in the subsequent update. It's hard to believe, but whatever the case may be. 5) Transferring files via cable is not reliable, and uploading big amounts of data (more than 2 gigabytes) is nearly impossible; the data transfer either stops working entirely or it freezes, and an error is generated in the "media storage" function on the device. It has been tested multiple times with a 100% replication rate, and switching the cable, computer, or operating system does not assist. Resetting the data on the device also does not help. Although the fault is clearly subtle and quite minor, in the context in which I use it, it is really aggravating.
