not 3/4 inch as these collars actually are. Of course, a 3/4" wide collar will fit in a 1" wide hole, but a narrower collar will NOT provide such a secure fit, and also, because of the width, a 3/4" wide collar is less comfortable for the dog. I may use it these collars for other uses so I won't be returning them but anyone ordering them to replace the collars that usually come with electronic trainers will be disappointed at the width.
