My Duramax has been sitting for a few years (as I don't tow like I used to) and I wanted to drain the old diesel for fear of condensation and adding water to the fuel before starting . This pump worked great when paired with semi-rigid flexible hose to drain about 7 gallons in no time. After all this there was no water in my fuel but I was able to start my truck without fear and it started right up. stood up and walked perfectly I knew. I love my old Duramax.
