I use it in our front yard lighthouse - it lights up beautifully at night even in November. The string was just the right size – the outside of the solar panel was attached with a small piece of tape to the corner of the lighthouse window, which faces the sun for most of the day. We made a small indentation in the top of the beacon to insert a light cord. Unwind the string of lights very carefully - they are fragile but look lovely - we have ours with a constant light - but they can flicker if we want to. k. Very happy with them and as we have two of these I can easily replace these if anything happens to her.
