So despite all the bad reviews I bought it hoping it would work because it looked so great. And let me tell you, I don't regret it one bit. I've had it for almost two weeks now and I'm very happy with this purchase! If you follow the instructions in the manual, the speakers will be paired with the player every time. You can also connect the speakers to other devices and the bluetooth function works with your phone, laptop, tablet etc. Initially I was disappointed because I couldn't get the player to work with the speakers. Then I read the manual and it was easy to figure it out. The trick is that you need to switch the main speaker to "Phono" and not BT in order for it to pair with the player. It's very loud, the speakers are also a lot bigger than I expected. But that's a lot for a simple two-speed turntable with speakers.
