The Lincoln Mark VIII requires a unique wiring harness that can only be used on other 1993-1998 Mark VIIIs, no other car can use these wiring due to trunk design. Because the harness is not interchangeable with any other vehicle, many harness manufacturers don't even make them, making the harness hard to come by and very expensive. When I found this kit I was shocked at the low price of around $30. A similar set of cables around town would cost me about $120, which is four times what I paid here at Revain! I felt like I was taking a risk because the price was so low, but I'm glad I bought them. I paid $27.25 for the cable set and $6.23 for shipping. As far as the quality of the cable set and the way it works, I am very satisfied. I feel like I spent 4-6 times as much and bought a Motorcraft OE (Original Equipment) harness. These are true 8mm wires, just like the original wires, not the cheap 7mm wires you expect at your local automart. The cable set is what you expect when you buy a higher priced original quality cable set or an entry level performance kit. durable, thick, flexible, oil resistant, look great and they have durable, high quality boots that hold their shape unlike cheap kits that come with flimsy covers that often wrinkle/warp. The cables are not the exact length of the OE cables. Replaced, some of the wires are a half inch shorter or longer, but they fit perfectly. I routed the wires exactly as they should be using all the factory harnesses and spacers, they fit and look great. The cable lugs fit exactly to the OE factory cables. They attach securely to spark plugs and coil packs and provide an excellent seal for spark plugs, coil packs and the inside of the heads. There was enough silicone for both ends of each wire to keep moisture out of the boots and prevent the boots from sticking to the spark plug. I think they could provide about 25% more silicone, I ended up using more than what was provided because it was a bit heavy. This isn't a disadvantage considering most cable sets don't even contain silicone. In general, I like the low price and the excellent quality very much. I would not hesitate to buy a cable set from Standard Motor Products again. Your product turned out to be more than I expected. I can honestly say that this harness is 98% as good as the OE harness and other entry level high quality branded harnesses. Mechanic and car enthusiast with 18 years of experience.
