Review on ๐Ÿš— Enhance Vehicle Stability with Monroe 58645 Monroe Load Adjust Shock Absorber by Joshua Romero

Good for cargo but beware of squeaky springs

I bought these because the rear of my 2001 Honda Odyssey sagged, especially when I loaded any kind of cargo in the car. The old shock absorbers did their job and were in good condition, but I thought the springs needed some help. To make matters worse, I've front installed unity rack assemblies and they're taking a very long time to set up. The front end has risen at least 2 inches. These Monroe shock absorbers are perfectly fitted and have a high-quality impression. They definitely raised the rear end of my Honda Odyssey at least 1/2 inch and it doesn't sag nearly as much under load. Bad - these springs are noisy. Creaking started after 3 months. They don't make any noise under normal driving conditions, but they squeak horribly every time you pass a speed bump or drive over an uneven surface that rocks the van up and down, including driveways. Monroe recommends replacing shock absorbers every 50,000 miles. Don't listen to her. I believe this is false advertising. Replace shock absorbers and struts when worn. You will know when they are gone.
