USE SEVERAL ANTI-GRIP PRODUCTS AND THIS PRODUCT IS PERFECT!

I have an '03 Ram 3500 with a 6" lift and 37" tires on 17" rims. I'm saying this so you know this truck has been through rough times. I've tried the rented one Route to drive both Autozone and Oreillys Autoparts. These presses were fine but ended up being used and poorly maintained. I actually stripped the ball joint press threads from the Autozone. Got my money back no problem. Then after being pissed as hell about how hard it was to get my ball joints out (7 hour break) I decided I'd probably have to do it again in a couple of years so I might as well have my own abs.. That press came arrived in about 5 days which was great given the impact of COVID on shipping! Still better and quicker than expected. It had all the cups needed to fit the bullet joints were needed. The only issue I had was that the filaments got hot and caught fire quite badly, and after the 4 1/2 inch breakers broke (I never said we were smart) we decided to do a bit to investigate. With a couple of non-stick brushes and a few passes (I strongly recommend slapping, even if it suggests not using it), the abs worked like a dream. I concluded that most broken tools were caused by a struggle with the ball joint press itself and not the ball joint itself. I would highly recommend this product to anyone working with ball joints and although it will fit trucks up to 3/4 ton it can easily handle 1 ton. Let me repeat what other people say. USE OIL OR ANY LOAD PROTECTION ON THE THREADS! That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars for durability, although to be honest it was probably some sort of operator error. It's significantly cheaper than a press you can buy at the store and gets the job done very well. I would recommend it to almost anyone and already have people asking to borrow it when I'm done.
