The chair exceeds my expectations, it is very durable. It may seem too big for a small person, but it was very comfortable for me. The lumbar support is very comfortable and does a great job of providing the support I need for the injury I am treating. The odd thing is that the plastic telescoping cover for the hydraulic lift doesn't appear to be connected to the top and therefore doesn't cover the whole thing. To me this is purely cosmetic and I may have missed something but couldn't find anywhere on the chair or instructions on how to fix it. Initially I thought I would have to replace the wheels with something harder wood suitable for the floor but as the description says they came without leaving a mark on the floor. (Although I'm still considering some inline skate replacement parts) Assembly wasn't difficult but the backrest attachment was a little fiddly but once fully assembled it was very secure and strong. The backrest works like a car seat, with its highest position slightly forward, the comfortable position is to slide it slightly backwards. It leans slightly backwards, which is very convenient with a slight incline. It can be fixed at the top. Like many others, I started by looking at the popular racing chairs used on most steamboats. In my case, the maximum weight these brands could handle was too light for me to feel the chair would be durable for me.
