Review on 🌸 Matte Pink Thermos Sipp Stainless Steel Drink Bottle, 16 Ounce by Janet Harris

I've had this unit for probably a year and only recently bought another one - partly to have two but mainly because this one often is leaking , oddly enough, very noisy. I have a somewhat unusual situation in that I need warm water during the day (to aid digestion with gastritis) and use a thermos at night to prevent medication-induced dehydration. When carrying the thermos or on the treadmill/trainer, the carrying hook and metal retaining bracket rattle back and forth, and when unscrewing the lid there is a long and loud squeak, which annoys family members late into the night. It's probably not a problem for people who hike or when your thermos is on a sturdy surface, but when you need to be a ninja in a noise-sensitive environment, it really shows. The heat retention is absolutely wonderful, keeping drinks hot for hours. In fact, I have to be careful not to get the original filling too hot because it retains heat so well. Fits my hand well (I'm 5'4, medium hands for a small person) and love the button and flip cap. The vent is in the wrong place, causing drinks to squirt directly into your nose or face. I tried to figure out the secret to prevent the thermos from leaking, but I couldn't. recognize the patterns. Most leaks are minor, but I can't put it in my pocket unless the lid is closed, or the lid opens fully and the contents spill. (This happened once at a day bag where the water mixed with a packet of dry soap strips that I had forgotten and left there. Luckily the bag was old and ready to retire and there was nothing very important in it but I did can't imagine if I had anything important there.) Any inconvenience is minor but generally causes some irritation. If that doesn't bother you, this is a great thermos to keep you warm. Overall I would not buy this particular model again, 6.5/10.
