I'm a backpacker and I have a hard time finding the balance between weight and durability. This product comes as close as possible. I almost bought a lighter tarp from a competitor but I'm glad I didn't. And I like the muted color. In the forest it is much easier on the eye and less intrusive to others who might otherwise see it from afar. I bought it to use as an emergency shelter for long day hikes and as a kitchen shelter for trekking in questionable weather. Haven't used it for any purpose yet, but I expect it to work well and withstand some abuse. I paired it with some super light Dyneema lines.
