Great tool for pets and kids. I don't have carpet in any of the rooms in my house, but I do have furniture and vehicles that I constantly try to keep clean. the dried dirt my family leaves on fabric surfaces. I've cleaned my couch and love seat so they don't smell like someone slept on them after riding in the barn. I cleaned my new showroom car seats to make them look new again and there was no Diet Coke left on my floor mats. I'm sure the list of possible uses besides the carpet cleaner is endless and I'm glad it's portable because I'll use it anywhere and everywhere. The tank is small, which is a plus. No one wants to lug around gallons of water. You don't need a lot of water/cleaning solution to get the job done. The goal is not to soak what you are cleaning. The battery is enough for several standard cleaning tasks. I absolutely love it and recommend it.
