Review on Enhanced Kidde Nighthawk Carbon Monoxide Detector: AC-Plug-In with Battery Backup and Digital Display by Jason Hill

I was very optimistic about this detector as I've always heard baby products are top quality. So I only bought this item because of Kidde's reputation. I liked the fact that the detector is a plug in type as opposed to the old school ceiling versions I've had in the past. So, like I said, I was very optimistic about this product. Until I woke up at 4:13 this morning to a piercing beeping sound that made my heart beat faster and my head ache! I knew immediately that it was a CO2 alarm and walked towards it. The squeak was so loud that all I could think about was ripping it out of the wall immediately. We then checked the cooker and kettle and they were fine. We were confused by what happened. Thinking it was a bug, we plugged the unit into an outlet and the loud beeping sounded again, and we immediately removed it from the wall. We have had the device since January 13th and now two months have passed and the device is ready! We tried it a few minutes ago and the beeping started again so we decided to take the battery out to see if it would stop and the device still beeping! Basically it's useless now! I think we're unlucky but it's too late to go back to amazon and now we have no choice but to buy another one 😞
