I bought these for an art project of painting tic tac toe bricks. Use a felt tip pen to make a chalkboard on the outside of the bag, color in the rocks (I live on the beach in Northern Oregon so this was the fun part of this project but to be honest I have a few spare rocks bought) . if I can't find the right rocks on the beach) and then draw X and O'x on the rocks. I let them dry, sprayed with sealant and VIOLET! Tic-tac-toe is one of my 5 year old grandson's favorite games. The bag then contains the chips for the rock game. Each bag has a drawstring closure. I cross them loosely to keep the pockets closed. The guys are very proud of their projects. The "excess" stones purchased are colored and added to my rock garden, which now contains a mix of agate, jasper and other stones I have found interesting over the last 40 years. :) The bags are well made. not very thick, but cotton. So they can be gently washed I suppose and then I would lay them out to dry because they are cotton. You get a dozen - enough to do other things for a fair price I thought. I always update my reviews when new information seems useful.
