Up until now I have avoided Otter Boxes as I thought the prices were prohibitive. However, this particular Defender Screenless Edition cost about $10 less than other Otter models (with a screen protector), so I decided to "bite the bullet" and give it a try. So far I can't get enough of the quality of the case. My iPhone X now looks more stylish and feels much more durable, protected and secure in my hand than my previous phone case. My only complaint is that Mr. Matthew Davidson, ie. "Wordless Installation Instructions". My suitcase came packed, fully assembled. After removing the outer rubber cover, I tried unsuccessfully to insert the phone into the inner plastic case. On my second attempt to slip the phone into the plastic case, I applied quite a bit of pressure to the point where I was concerned the case would crack. The little booklet that accompanied the product contained wordless, ambiguous, numbered images that looked more like illegible hieroglyphs than written assembly instructions for laypeople. After examining the plastic case for a few minutes, I found that it consisted of two parts. Then I quickly disassembled the case, installed the iPhone in the bottom half of the case, and then reassembled the top half of the case before attaching the protective rubber cover. WARNING OTTER BOX: It is evident that your engineers have invested a lot of time in developing a high quality product to protect such an expensive mobile phone. Please put a little more effort into the INSTALLATION GUIDE as Mr. Matthew Davidson did in his extraordinary review. Thank you in advance for your expected cooperation.
