Review on πŸ’‘ Chrome Gooseneck Bedside Reading Light - 3W LED Wall/Headboard Mounted Lamp with Switch for Art Gallery Display (Plug-in) by Victoria Shaw

Perfect, with just one small problem

I wanted a gooseneck LED light with no batteries (not rechargeable) and no dimmers or capacitive switching electronics. It's very light, in spades, and it's REALLY tough. The switch is a true mechanical (rocker) switch. So if it is unplugged during power up, it will turn back on when power is restored. I'm a retired engineer, so I tend to be indulgent about some small things. This kit comes with extra anchors and drywall screws. So if I accidentally banged them all on the ground I would probably find 4 and do the job. A small problem is that the holes in the base are too small for screws. . I think someone got the metric conversion wrong or left out the very heavy chrome plating on this one. This is not a problem, use a 5/32" drill bit to drill the holes. In this light, they are putting money in the right places. It is extremely durable. Something you might think about is if you bend the gooseneck the switch is where it is. As far as I understand you can't rotate the lampshade to position the switch anywhere. So where the switch ended up was part of what dictated where I installed it. For this money it can't be beat. I actually bought it for a bedside lamp. But the 3W LED is too bright for my eyes to use at night. I needed a small spotlight for my desk and am glad I ordered it. It's the perfect auxiliary light for my desk when I'm doing fine mechanical work. Also, the gooseneck doesn't bend to a very tight radius. Documentation isn't included, but the mounting hole diagram is in the Revain Ad. 5 Stars No Questions Asked.
