Review on πŸ’¦ Enhance Your Home's Safety: Introducing Grohe 22601LN0 Sense Smart Water Sensor by Joe Gilmartin

good concept. - Security

This review is for the GROHE 22601LN0 Sense Smart Water Sensor. I have friends, co-workers and family members who have suffered major damage to their homes due to burst or leaking pipes. The intelligent water sensor Sense looked like a valuable monitor that warned me about flooding. I decided to place it next to my laundry room, a place where leaks are common in many homes. The setup seemed easy. My job as a reviewer is to carefully examine the product and report on my experiences. In this case, I have not had a positive experience. I followed the instructions by connecting my iPhone (with the latest iOS version) to a Grohe device and then following the steps in the app I just downloaded. I never got past step 2 where you try to connect the sensor to your personal wifi. All I ever got was the equivalent of "Please wait". I spent over 1 hour connecting the sensor to my wifi and nothing worked. Aside from never being able to connect the sensor to my WiFi to get notifications (that's the whole point), I found it difficult and cumbersome to remove the case to get to the batteries. Another annoyance is that the WiFi seems to turn off after a very short time when trying to connect it, meaning I had to remove the cover multiple times to restart the device to keep trying to set it up. The alarm on the device is anemic. . I was amused by the warnings not to damage my hearing if it was too close. I think my phone's ringer is a lot louder than this thing at its current volume. It's certainly not as loud as a smoke alarm. Overall, I'm wondering how much testing went into this product. The app is fine, but the device just can't connect to my WiFi (and I've tried two hotspots to make sure I'm not the only one). No matter what I tried, I couldn't connect this thing. The issues I had with setup, as well as the difficult access to batteries and weak signal make up my assessment.
